And accent
Becomes mystery

The sound of language
Is old
A bandage
To unfold

Speak hoity limey
Or like a printer’s press spin
Blurt oi blimey

And did George
Giving cavalry orders
At Valley Forge
Cross linguistic waters

Where was Nipper
To record these guys
Becoming hipper
And accents despise

I like to consider
That conversations 
Once were wider
